Dr.Arthur Addams (Iteration X) - played by Sven Jan Pieterszoon (Syndicate) - played by Dingo Dr.Peter Schmidt (Void Engineers) - played by Stayka Robbie_Pope - played by Asmodai William Johnson (NWO) - played by Dingo Storytortillo - Asmodai
<Storytortillo> A lone exploratory vessel of the Japanese ocenaographic institute is in the middle of the ocean slowly traverssing the relativley calm surface...
<Storytortillo> This lone ship sails... it's radar's turning, and the many measuring apparatus placed in their cases on the decks... the ship almost looks deserted... but below the decks in a lavishly decorated sitting room, where maps of the Pacific and the China sea fill the walls along with phoographs of marine expeditions...
<Storytortillo> There around a large table with a greyish surface four people are sitting...
<Storytortillo> One of them sadly looks at a case in the corner and taps his hands on the cast on his right arm... A smaller form of a man with glasses lounges in the back... his left side of the scalp is bald and a scar of some sort traces from the side to his ear.... a man in a impeccable suit is sitting in one corner workign on a laptop... he lacks two fingers on the limp left arm imbolisded after the inforutnate accident...
<Storytortillo> And there accross from them... the new man... the so called journalist sent by their boss to watch over them...
<Storytortillo> (who i don't have a clue how he looks so please do start dingo ;))
<Storytortillo> Almost all of them but the new man suffered pain, bruises, cuts and broken bones... the assault took a strange turn... but the strange situation seems to have come to an end... and there are still thsoe lights you all saw...
<Storytortillo> (Johnson?)
William_Johnson is a man in his late twenties, early 30's, with short sand-blond hair, light brown eyes. He's wearing a pair of black jeans, a white shirt and has his black (suit) jacket hanging over the back of his seat.
William_Johnson has a few pens in his shirts pocket.
<William_Johnson> as well as a notebook stuffed in it.
<William_Johnson> (Agent Johnson, but please call me Will)
<William_Johnson> (Agent Johnson sounds so cheesy....)
<Pete_Schmidt> (*g*)
Pete_Schmidt still reflects on the horrors he saw and barely survied
Arthur_Addams looks at his case and shakes his head. Ally... Poor, poor Ally...
Pete_Schmidt is glad to have a little respite now at Deepwater - and maybe even a lab as he had an idea for a new countermeasure against such ghastly extradimensional beings.
Arthur_Addams really hopes to get Ally back up and running again. I feels bad she is hurt and he let it happen.
William_Johnson looks at the group and studies their faces.
Pete_Schmidt looks thoughtfully at the new guy who was sent by Anderson. He doesn't really know what to think of him.
<Storytortillo> You haven't spent much time with Mr. Johnson... he seemed to have been handling most of the other work whiel you were recupperating from your wounds...
Pete_Schmidt thinks he should thank Johnson, though as he relieved him from the tedious paperwork
<Storytortillo> ... and you have seen one of the news reports that he showed you about the explosion in Kowloon caused by the rogue typhoon hitting a exposedgas pipeline and sparking the pipeline...
Arthur_Addams sighs. Her is deadset in reanimating Ally and making the world a safer place even more. Those things just can't be let loose, running around rampaging.
<Storytortillo> the causlties ammounted to around 500 and 1500 wounded...
Pete_Schmidt really hadn't been in the mood to face all the bureacracy after that horrible event. To be truthfull, he *never* felt like facing bureaucracy head on, but at the moment it was totally not his idea of spending his time
<Storytortillo> ... and your debriefings were messy affairs under drugs to keep you coherent while you were activley operated on...
<Storytortillo> it seemed like the facts were in desperate need and you were the only one that could produce them... and Pavithra...
Pete_Schmidt thought he deserved some respite after the last days...or were it weeks? He couldn't really put the time together when they were 'debriefed' as the higherup euphemistically called it
<William_Johnson> You did good work. I'm sure that your superiors will note this on your respective records. I'm sorry that you had to undergo the nasty debriefing.... I really am.
<Pete_Schmidt> So...
Pete_Schmidt looked at Johnson
<Pete_Schmidt> What exactly are the plans for us now when we reach Deepwater?
Pete_Schmidt didn't want to think about that debriefing if possible
<Pete_Schmidt> I think we still need some mending to get into proper operational state again...
<Arthur_Addams> Yes. Ally is badly hurt... I hope I can patch her up again...
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, if you need help, I will assist you
<Arthur_Addams> I think I can use all the assistance I can get. I wont let her die so easily
Pete_Schmidt nods
<William_Johnson> Ahem.
<Pete_Schmidt> Although I think I need some assistance here, too...
Pete_Schmidt pointed to the scarring
<Pete_Schmidt> I got patched up somewhat sloppily, it seems
Pete_Schmidt looks back to Johnson
<William_Johnson> That isn't your battlesuit Mr. Addams.
<William_Johnson> It's one from the Hong Kong Construct refitted for underwater operations.
<William_Johnson> Yours is packed in a cargo crate, at least, the pieces that were recovered are... I'm sorry....
<Arthur_Addams> What? But she's still enough to patch her up again? I'll get Ally back to life, even if I have to rebuild her from scracth from all her parts...
<Pete_Schmidt> Art, I'm sure we can put Ally together again
<Arthur_Addams> I hope so... Poor Ally... Those bastards!
<William_Johnson> In your free time....
Jan_Pieterzoon is working on his laptop creating checklists for the things that need to be done for the mission.
<Jan_Pieterzoon> Herr Schmidt, at the Facility will you go over the laboratories with a fine comb?
<Jan_Pieterzoon> Herr Addams, will you go over the security systems?
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, I will do what is necessary
<Jan_Pieterzoon> I myself will take the books.
Pete_Schmidt nods
Arthur_Addams nods
<Arthur_Addams> Sure...
<William_Johnson> That's a sound plan Mr. Pieterszoon.
<Pete_Schmidt> If there is anything amiss, we will find it. If there isn't - well, the better
<William_Johnson> I myself will interview the staff.
<William_Johnson> Anyways, we will arive at the Deepwater Facility in about 2 days...
<William_Johnson> Do you have any more questions?
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, I'd like to have a layout of the station with the labs and a list of the personal who accesses which lab etc
<Arthur_Addams> I need access lists, too. And a list of all security measures and equipment. So I can chack on it.
<Pete_Schmidt> It was a mainly VE/Progenitor/ItX constructs, wasn't it?
<Pete_Schmidt> I hope I wwill be able to evaluate the Progenitor stuff
<Storytortillo> (with syndicate funding... and a short term supervisor that quit after two weeks under the sea)
<William_Johnson> Those things were all in the files..
<Pete_Schmidt> (Pete is a total zero in meds, bio and Life)
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, then I would be grateful for a printout...
<William_Johnson> We are going over the fascility with a fine comb.. that doesn't mean we have to understand every single thing about it..
<William_Johnson> Besides I'm sure that Dr. Redraven would be more than willing to assist us with the Progenitor stuff.
<Pete_Schmidt> Ah yes. That would be very fortunate then. I thought he was entrenched in some experiments in Birmingham
<Pete_Schmidt> But if he can evaluate his colleagues material this would certainly be very helpful
<William_Johnson> He's still in Birmingham.
Captain_Tanaka enters the door... he is a short, stocky man with a well pruned beard and a white hat covering his bald head...
<Captain_Tanaka> gentlemen...
Pete_Schmidt looks up to him
<Captain_Tanaka> we are within 2 days of the facility...
<Captain_Tanaka> were you introduced to the proces of inseration into the deepwater?
<Pete_Schmidt> Not yet, but I'm eager to get to know it.
Pete_Schmidt was an NSC specialist, after all, and Deepwater usually was only manned by EFD specialists of the VE
<Captain_Tanaka> i was informed you suffered inuuries during your last assignment... i am supposed to find out if you suffered any pulomonnary defects or injuries of the inner ear or similar problem...
Pete_Schmidt nods
<Pete_Schmidt> That sounds like a wise precaution. I don't know either how well I was fixed so far...
<Jan_Pieterszoon> and how do you plan on figuring that out.. put them in a depressurisation tank and watch if they die??
<Captain_Tanaka> that would be a plan
Pete_Schmidt raises an eyebrow
<Captain_Tanaka> however i am not supposed to injure you, am i?
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, that would be somewhat counterproductive to our assignment
<Captain_Tanaka> i am hoping you have some documents from your treatments?
<Captain_Tanaka> becuase i cannot let you go with any of the afformentioned afflictions...
Pete_Schmidt looks hopefully to Johnson
<Pete_Schmidt> You did have the paperwork, didn't you?
<William_Johnson> Ah yes, paperwork..
Captain_Tanaka looks at you expectantly...
William_Johnson grabs next to his seat to his backpack and takes out a small folder with the paperwork..
<William_Johnson> As you can see, Captain, all three have a clean bill of health.
William_Johnson flashes the paper almost under his face and puts it back in the folder and the folder back in the backpack.
<William_Johnson> (professional habbit)
Captain_Tanaka inspects it...
<Captain_Tanaka> hmmm looks all right...
<Captain_Tanaka> and you?
<William_Johnson> Never been healthier.
<Captain_Tanaka> you do have that on paper, i hope...
<William_Johnson> Off course...
<Captain_Tanaka> however with you not having any recent surgery or similar issues...
<Captain_Tanaka> i don't need you flashing the papers...
<Captain_Tanaka> Oh... and do feel free to hold them up... i have a photographic memmory...
<Captain_Tanaka> immensley usefull for learning things with a glance...
<Captain_Tanaka> now then
Captain_Tanaka takes out a small piel of creaesed and folded over papers...
<Captain_Tanaka> all four of you need to sign these...
<Captain_Tanaka> feel free to read them if you would like
Captain_Tanaka opens the pile and then picks 4 foldign the rest and putting it back into his pocket
Captain_Tanaka places them on the table and then walks over to the image f the japanese sea and folds a small wooden board to thew site to uncover a set of controls...
Pete_Schmidt reads the paper carefully.
Captain_Tanaka presses a few buttons and then the grey surface starts to glow and a map of the Pacific and the eastern coas of asia appears...
Pete_Schmidt thinks somewhat sullenly that he may not have a natural eidetic memory, but he is very well able to imprint important things into his memory, too.
<Storytortillo> In short it seems that the paper is a long liability clause...
<Storytortillo> it is intended for any member of the conventions who does not have strcit training and conditioning for deep water exploration and operations...
Pete_Schmidt looks to Johnson
<Pete_Schmidt> (grinning wryly) Do you think it is safe to sign?
<Storytortillo> it lists a large number of possible afflictions and problems raleted to prolonged stay in the depths and requires the signer to fully accept the risks if he goes down and has no previosu training...
<William_Johnson> hmm... this is to be expected
<William_Johnson> Basically it says that DeepWater isn't entirely safe and that you can only go down there if you are aware of that.
Pete_Schmidt shrugs
<Pete_Schmidt> What in life is completely safe?
<William_Johnson> So.. it's up to you wether you want to sign or not.
Pete_Schmidt couragously puts his signature under the writ
William_Johnson signs the paper..
<William_Johnson> Oh darn, it seems I missed the subsection about losing your soul.....
Arthur_Addams signs the paper too
William_Johnson winks
Pete_Schmidt grins
Jan_Pieterszoon studies the paper for a while and then signs it.
<Storytortillo> Art you manage to sign it with your left arm... it looks rather... messy...
Captain_Tanaka loosk at you and then picks up the papers folding them over and placing them in his shirt pocket...
<Captain_Tanaka> now then...
Captain_Tanaka presses a point where the marianna trench is...
Pete_Schmidt looks at the map with great interest
Captain_Tanaka smiles as the map zooms in and then creates a sideways depth sketch of the trench overlayed i nthe right corner of the table
<Pete_Schmidt> Impressive
<Captain_Tanaka> now then...
<Captain_Tanaka> i guess all of you have heard of the Marianna Trench
<Captain_Tanaka> deepest crevasse in the sea and all that...
<Captain_Tanaka> and i know you know of Deepwater...
Pete_Schmidt nods
<Captain_Tanaka> Deepwater is set in one of the sides of the trench, one mile below the end of the bottom and the benning of the crevasse itself...
Captain_Tanaka speaks and a small triangle appears on the sideways map
<Captain_Tanaka> Deepwater is a experimental arcology. It's a research facility, oil excavation site and the first great experiment of human habitation of the seas...
<Captain_Tanaka> Mexico 1 has started construction jsut a few months back...
<Captain_Tanaka> The site itself is accessible through special submariens that surface whenever the supply ship... like this one arrives...
<Captain_Tanaka> a supply ship arrives every two weeks with entertainment, surface based food products and any eqipment and supplies the base may or may not need...
Pete_Schmidt listens intently
<Captain_Tanaka> the Deepwater facility initself is self sufficient with electrciticy, water, air and food, as long as you don't too much algea and the occasional blackout whiel the generators kick in...
<Captain_Tanaka> the facility itself has a limited communicatiosn system, however...
<Captain_Tanaka> most probalby becuase of the strange aspects of the trench normal communications are pretty much imposible unless a ship is directly over the site...
<Captain_Tanaka> however a setellite was acquired that allows the project to send a tightbeam pulse of information once per day...
<Captain_Tanaka> this goes directly through the main command centre set in the 27th level of the arcology...
<Captain_Tanaka> and this...
Captain_Tanaka presses the triangle and a sketch of the giant pyramidal strcuture set in the side of the crevasse with giant pegs of some sort, appears...
<Captain_Tanaka> is Deepwater itself... and the 27th level is here at the tip of the pyramid...
<Captain_Tanaka> level 0 is here where the main docking bay is situated... it's the size of a football field...
Pete_Schmidt is duely impressed, even though he heard about Deepwater in his primary courses when he was introduced to the VEs
<Captain_Tanaka> currently around 200 people inhabit the location with about 500... specialists...
Captain_Tanaka looks a bit sideways as he says specialsits and you notice a impression of disgust in his face...
<William_Johnson> Hmm?
<William_Johnson> You mean constructs?
<Captain_Tanaka> bah the rbots are okay...
<Captain_Tanaka> they take most of the number
<Captain_Tanaka> but the other thigns freak me out...
<Captain_Tanaka> anyway...
Captain_Tanaka goes through his pocekts searchign for something and then he takes out a small pill bottle...
<Pete_Schmidt> Hm. There are some ...very speacialized EFD technicians...
<Captain_Tanaka> for the next two days you are to take one of these to allow your body to cushion the effects of the drop...
<Captain_Tanaka> ... mister... specialised or not... you clearly haven't seen what we have down there...
Pete_Schmidt only heard about them and never saw one himself, but the tales of the aquatic technicians of the EFD were too phantastic to overhear
William_Johnson smirks
<Pete_Schmidt> True. I only heard about them so far
<William_Johnson> Read the Tabloids...
<William_Johnson> Plenty of creatures from EFD appear in there.
<Arthur_Addams> Nothing new at all... But to see one life...
<William_Johnson> I see an article coming up.
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, In primary education every VE is introduced to the different methodologies - but usually one specializes early
<William_Johnson> Interview with an Alien
Pete_Schmidt chuckles
<Captain_Tanaka> i will take my leave now... you should rest before the drop...
<Arthur_Addams> Just the question left who the alien is
Captain_Tanaka stretches nad taps his pocket where the signatures are and then sighs contently
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, I considered duty in the BCD once - there I might have talked to real aliens. So now I ended up in NSC and just turn in whatever creatures loses its way..
Captain_Tanaka nods to you and leaves you
<Pete_Schmidt> Not-really-aliens ^_^
Pete_Schmidt takes the pill as "prescribed"
William_Johnson flips the pill and takes it
Arthur_Addams looks at the pill, sighs with a though of Ally and takes it
Jan_Pieterszoon calculates the risk and concludes it's most likely to be harmless and takes it too.
<William_Johnson> Mr. Addams, don't worry about your... Ally? .... I'm sure that the people at the construct will allow you a workspace to fix her in your free time...
<Arthur_Addams> I hope so. Ally is pretty much ripped apart and needs a fixup. At least she is robust enough to not need imediate service, uznlike humans.
<William_Johnson> Mr. Addams... that suitcase... it's not your Ally..
<Arthur_Addams> Yes, you told me so...
<William_Johnson> Hmm.. I saw what was packed into the crates.... I'm sorry to tell you, but there's really not much of her left......
<Arthur_Addams> As I said... If it is needed I will patch her together from single wires, screws, engines until she is whole again... From the scratch...
<Pete_Schmidt> As I said, I'll help you with that
<William_Johnson> Well if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask ...
<Arthur_Addams> I will see how bad her condition is...
Arthur_Addams seems sad
Pete_Schmidt listens into himself to figure if that pill did something weird to him
<William_Johnson> Don't worry.. I'm sure that you are competent enough to fix her and make her better than new.
<Arthur_Addams> I will do my best...
<Storytortillo> Soon you all retreat to sleep or wander the decks... (any special needs?)
<Pete_Schmidt> (I'll retreat to my quarters)
William_Johnson is going to finish his psychological profile of the squad.
<Storytortillo> (well there are small double bunk affairs with a small standing shower in a corner and a closet
<Arthur_Addams> (me too)
<William_Johnson> Wich approach works best for whom...
<Pete_Schmidt> (No matter, after all we went through a little more rest is advisable)
<William_Johnson> (I guess that Pete works best with suggestions and the least ammount of paperwork)
<Pete_Schmidt> (Absolutely ^_^ BTW, it seems that Pete really might get to like you when you keep the paperwork out of his way :)
<William_Johnson> (anyways, I'm using Mind 2 to do that.. but it won't work on those who keep their emotions completely in check (or have a Mindshield on))
<William_Johnson> (So please give me some hints *G*)
<William_Johnson> (Especially Arthur...)
<Storytortillo> (well they can do it for themselves ;))
<Pete_Schmidt> (Well, so far things went well, didn't they. BTW, Pete is a bit to drawn to keep up a Mind Shield atm)
<Pete_Schmidt> (Will: You can get along absolutely nicely with Pete when you don't order him around and treat him as equal)
<William_Johnson> (Arthur?)
<Pete_Schmidt> (In that case he will very likely agree to good advice )
<Arthur_Addams> (no problem so far ^_^ Adam is pretty much thinking about Ally right now. Seems to be the kind of guy you can get along with if you have some technical stuff to discuss and not much smeary commanding like. Pretty much straightforawrd guy)
<William_Johnson> (not exactly asking to get along.. more asking what the "reigns" to the character are..)
<Pete_Schmidt> (You should not sneak around him, but best approach him openly. If you talk to him directly you will definitely get a better respronse as if he notices that you try to sneak around and weasel infos out of him)
<William_Johnson> (Pete is easy for Will... Arthur is a bit harder... since Will is an "enduser")
<Arthur_Addams> (Same here. As I said: Straightforward guy. Technical stuff, especially "mecha" stuff is what really sparks his interest. Will should have noticed by the way he talks about his suit)
William_Johnson finishes up his paperwork late at night, makes a walk on the deck and then turns in for a good nights sleep
<Storytortillo> The two days pass quickly...
<Storytortillo> (need something)
<Pete_Schmidt> (hm?)
<Jan_Pieterszoon> (He enjoys being trusted to do what's right... he really dislikes being underappreciated.... yes, he might be a bit slimy, but he's not a bad guy)
<Jan_Pieterszoon> (hey, only fair)
<Storytortillo> As the night sorrounds the ship and it softly lulls in the waves you drop down into the lowest deck... there the whole deck is converted into a large lighted hold where a part of the ship opens and you cna see the sea...
<Storytortillo> suddenly as you walk down into the hold through the hole a black tower suddenly erupts splashing water all over the place...
Pete_Schmidt jumps a step back
<Storytortillo> As it settles and the soft thud can be heard the whole tower opens to the sides and a large hole is opened and through it a lift pad raises and onit are two people thy nod to the cpatian and the crewmembers and they suddenly start loading things into the lift and sending them down...
<Jan_Pieterszoon> Nice...
<Storytortillo> One of them comes to Pete... he seems to be a australian man...
<australian> good evening
<Pete_Schmidt> Good evening
<australian> i'm guessing you are the crew we need to take down... and you must be the gov'ner...
<Pete_Schmidt> Gov'ner? (smiles) Well, if you want to call it like that. Yes...
<Pete_Schmidt> I'm Dr.Schmidt...
Pete_Schmidt introduces the rest of the team.
Arthur_Addams raises an eyebrow at the term "gov'ner"
Jan_Pieterszoon smiles
<australian> well then... i'm guessing your team is ready...
<australian> we were told to expect some injuries...
<australian> those will be tended below...
<australian> now please follow me...
<Pete_Schmidt> I really appreciately that - also on behalf of my team.
William_Johnson grabs his backpack and boards the submarine.
Pete_Schmidt takes his stuff and follows, too
australian walsk to the back and then opens a small bay towards the back and there, a few centimiters under the water you notice black metal... he places hsi hand isnide and seems to touch the plate as it suddenly whirrs open and a small tube extebnds upwards and the water turns to the side...
Jan_Pieterszoon mutters to himself: "You were relived of duty you twit." and follows them.
Arthur_Addams follows the others
<australian> Now then take the ladders and leave the stuff tied in the compartment below with the large nets...
<Jan_Pieterszoon> (afk for a moment)
<australian> then you can go towards the front where you can see the ride or towards the back twhere the pilots are...
<australian> just don't move too much onece you get yourself situated...
<australian> and tie your belts down...
Pete_Schmidt decides to take a seat where he can see the ride
<Pete_Schmidt> Art, do you need a hand with the belt?
australian nods and then helps with the boxes loading...
<Arthur_Addams> I can handle it, but hanks...
Arthur_Addams fiddles with the belt, but gets it fastened at last
Pete_Schmidt has gis belt tied fast, too
Jan_Pieterszoon sits down and belts up
William_Johnson heads to the pilots area, sits down at a spot where he can see everything well and buckles up.
William_Johnson will study the entire trip as well as the controls of this vessel should I ever need to steer it myself..
William_Johnson will also ask occasional questions just to make smalltalk with the pilot (not really, but to figure out the controls)
<Pete_Schmidt> (Good plan ^_^)
<Storytorillo> There is a small couch intended for people not piloting the ship it's raisda a bit and you cna see otuside through the large viewscreen.. .curently you onyl see the lighted form of the ship you arrived on
<Storytorillo> there seems to be at lest 4 stations for pilots with a centre one that has two long sleeves where the hands hodl the controls...
<Storytorillo> the whole sub humms silently and al lsorts of screens are filled with all sorts of data...
Pete_Schmidt looks out of the window at his place
<Storytorillo> 15 minutes later crewemen fill the places and one of them settles in the raised seat with the sleeve controls...
<Storytorillo> Soon humming and whirring nosies can he heard as the upper hatches close...
<Storytorillo> moments later you notice on the large screen that darkness is devouring the screen and that the ship has taken a dive, elaving the lighted lower part of your transport above you...
<Storytorillo> the silent sub swiftly cuts into the darkness... strong lights are turned, yet you don't see further then a few feet... all over you notice that fish seem attracted to the light but as the subs slashes closer they run away...
<Arthur_Addams> (Will we go on for long? I'm tired. Sorry)
<Storytorillo> suddenly a set of loud pings is heard and the crew seems visibly disturbed as one of the sonars picks up a large signature...
<Storytorillo> one of them darts and presses some controls and they seem to be aggitatted by whatever is happening..
<William_Johnson> What's happening?
<Storytorillo> Suddenly as they are tensing up... they relax... in front of you a giant whale passes... it's eye seems to be staring straight at you, but the screen veers a bit to the side and the huge thing passes closeboye...
<Australian> ... nothing...
<Australian> it's just a whale...
Pete_Schmidt looks fascinates at the shape
Australian presses a few button on a console that says weapons and sighs visibly relieved
<Australian> don't worry though... everything is all right...
<Australian> we could see a few others along the way...
<Australian> for some reason they seem to come rather often aroudn the trench...
<Australian> one of the biologists postuleted that it was a mating site that is not used but they return..
Australian turns in his swivel chair...
<Australian> anyway...
<Australian> what are you lot in for?
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, we were ordered to take a look at Deepwater.
<Pete_Schmidt> Look around a bit and see whether everything runs smoothly
William_Johnson sighs
<Australian> aaah
<Australian> so then... just a quick looksie, paperwork and bye bye...
<Australian> tss...
<Australian> this plae has so much more interesting things...
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, I'd be interested to look around a little to see those, too
<Pete_Schmidt> I hope time allows it
<William_Johnson> Didn't you pay attention, Dr. Schmidt, we are here to stay for two weeks.
<Australian> aaah.. two weeks...
<Australian> so any time for walks?
<Pete_Schmidt> Well, I hope so.
<William_Johnson> Of course.. I might even write an article for the Union Quarterly about this fascillity and it's people.
<William_Johnson> Perhaps you have some good stories to tell..
<Australian> anyway... i'm Robert... Robert Pope...
<William_Johnson> Will Johnson.
Pete_Schmidt did introduce himself right in the beginning ^_^
<William_Johnson> (anyways, can we skip to arrival?)
<Storytortillo> With the slow drop and chit chat about the station and some of the projects... you sudeenly notice lights somehwere below... and you notice a submarine passing you by...
<Storytortillo> Dropping lower and lower... soon you are in front of the giant pyramid... it glows softly with yellowish light casting light on the trench...
<Storytortillo> all around it divers and submirines seem to be working and doing...
<Storytortillo> suddenly in front of you a man appears... he seems pale and naked... onyl wearing a pair of trunks...
<Storytortillo> he seems to be floating in the water completley unmoving...
Pete_Schmidt stars at him in total fascination
Pete_Schmidt thiks there is truly a difference between hearing about and truly seeing one of them
<Robbie_Pope> oh bugger
<Robbie_Pope> he's not moving...
<Robbie_Pope> call the base and tell them we have another floater...
<Robbie_Pope> damn fish...
<Pete_Schmidt> Floater?
<William_Johnson> Oh.....
William_Johnson takes out his notebook and writes down a few things.
Robbie_Pope shakes his head as the ship moves past it and you notice the bald, hairless facewith giant bulging fishlike eyes and gills...
<Robbie_Pope> Oh bugger...
<Robbie_Pope> look at that...
<William_Johnson> What's that?
Robbie_Pope winces as oyu realise that the whole loer rigth side of the body is missing.... a huge bite was taken out of it and its entrails seem to be missing from the hole...
<Robbie_Pope> It's another attack...
<William_Johnson> By?
<Robbie_Pope> Mike... tell the base they left us a gift at 900 yards this time...
<William_Johnson> They?
Robbie_Pope doesnt anwser
<Robbie_Pope> In total silence you close towards the giant base and go under the giant buildign and into the large opening below... sooon you surface in the bay, and the crew leaves you there without a word...
<Storytortillo> (poke?)
William_Johnson (grabs a huge club and whacks Storytortillo over the virtual head)
Pete_Schmidt looks after them.
<Arthur_Addams> (*yaaaawwwwnnnn*)
<Storytortillo> (i was hoping you were gonna comment... but i'm gonan wrap up here as you seem to have nothing to say among yourselves ;))
<Arthur_Addams> (soon all I have to say is87u since that's what you get when hitting your head on the keyboard, falling asleep. (It's true, just tested it to demonstrate))
<Storytortillo> (lol)
<William_Johnson> Okay, Dr. Schmidt. I have some forms for you if you care to see them. I was wondering how this would work out for a while so I kept that part behind...
<Storytortillo> (i know that's why i wanted to wrap up about now)
William_Johnson holds out a special file to Dr. Schmidt
<Storytortillo> (i'l llet you talk a bit and then we finish...)
<Pete_Schmidt> What forms?
<Storytortillo> (we can put this on the third tuesday as it seems PaF is gonna tag in)
Pete_Schmidt takes the files and looks at it
<Pete_Schmidt> (3rd Tuesday sounds fine)
<William_Johnson> In short, these orders tell me to take over command of the team.
<William_Johnson> I really didn't want to play it like this, I would have liked to letyou stay on as teamleader.
Jan_Pieterszoon almost chokes on something
P-a-F_afk pats you on the back.
